This week my company moved to a brand new office building in central Tokyo which is why I’ve been a bit busier than usually. Our new office has a fantastic view of Tokyo and even Mt. Fuji on a good day. This afternoon between meetings I took a few photos. They’re not that good so I’ll have to take my SLR to work some day and get better shots. The one above is looking towards Roppongi. At the right, you can see Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills just behind it. At the far left is Izumi Gardens.

The view east from one of the meeting rooms. That cluster of buildings on the other side of the park is Otemachi. You can also see the Diet which is that pyramid shaped building near the centre.

And this shot is facing north-west. That’s Shinjuku in the background.

how do I add you as a contact on flickr? I am pretty new to it. I am karakura_red on Flickr.
Lovely photos.
Some pretty cool shots ^^
I love seeing shots of Japan. Wish I could visit again!
hmm dunno if my first comment made it through. It kinda spit me back here and I haven’t seen anything after waiting a few minutes lol…
Anyway, just wanted to say those are some nice shots of Tokyo. I love seeing pictures of Japan. Wish I could visit again sometime!
I would kill to take shots from your new office digs ;)
My brother’s friend is an expat who lives in that building in Aoyama Itchome blocking your view of the guest palace. It is amazing on the inside.
Based on the Shinjuku shot I used Google Earth to determine the location of your office building … though it’s still just a construction site on Google :)
Can’t wait until you can capture the rare Fuji shot at sunset!
My office offers views of both Matsu-ya and Watami. Probably your office is nicer.
oh that must be the akasaka biz or whatever they call it. silly name.
You have nice pictures of Tokyo viewed from above. I find the city really amazing, as it has no end.
Another nice place to have a view over Central Tokyo is the new Otani tower, and as it is surrounded by gardens, the view is probably less oppressive than from your office.
Well, I just discovered this blog and am 16 months late to this posting. So I suppose you will probably never see this comment. But I had to laugh because based on these photos and your “about” page, I now know that you and I must ride the same elevator from time to time!
