Yakult...it is similar in taste to Calpis? I've seen it in Marukai before, but never got around to trying it...

I used to bring it to school for recess everyday from kindergarten till maybe 9th grade. I think I have benefited from its goodness. But then my mom also packed Laughing Cow cheese and Ritz crackers so... :-)

I experienced the 'power of Yakult' when it first came out here, a pack had exploded and was frothing and growing itself all over the supermarket shelf. After seeing that I've never been game to try it. But Japanese seem to love the stuff. We had a sale near here on the weekend, and Yakult was one of the only a few things there wasn't any discount on. I wonder what the mark up on it is.

Okay, I've seen Yakult during my entire stay in Japan and there is a base area near me but I have no idea what it tastes like or what it is supposed to do for you.

But Vitagen is a complete rip-off of Yakult. Even the bottle is exactly the same. This is so people will buy Vitagen by accident. They don't sell it in Japan though.

I prefer Vitagen ;) I drank Yakult once and thought it has a uhm, how shall I describe it? It left a taste on my tongue similar to that when I eat fruits that are not ripe. Yeah, something like that.
There's a Vitagen lady who serves the area I stay in too.

Senis, was too afraid to penetrate the "base"

Rick, I see the Yakult ladies in the our office like almost every week so I guess there are some companies that have it delivered. Glico has the same service for chocolate and pocky called "Office Glico". I had to cancel Pal System when I moved but I might start it up again.

Yakult is really wonderful. It cures cancer too. Watanabe Ken cured his cancer by drinking Yakult.

I've seen some of those people around here. People actually order this stuff like they do milk? I mean sure... Yakult is yummy and all but, to have it delivered to your home. Really? Do they go around stocking the vending machines too? If you love it so much, do you have it delivered? Or does Pal system?
