In Japan, the roof of department stores are pretty cool places with pet shops, beer gardens and retro kiddy rides. These are a few photos from the roof of Tamagawa Takashimaya Department store. It’s a very nice peaceful spot and not run down and dirty like the ones in Shinjuku.

nice! Never went until Takashimaya’s roof, I always end up at Kinokuniya or Tokyu Hands ;-)

Tokyu Department Store Kichijoji Roof=sugoi furui kids rides!

They are so skanky and old. If I had kids I wouldn’t let them ride them. And they even have this retro Anpanman popcorn vending machine. No thanks!

Hector, this is actually the Takashimaya in Futakotamagawa not Shinjuku.

Cacapa, wow that sound like a place that would really appeal to me! Gotta to check it out next time I’m in Kichijoji.
