This display spotted at Muji in Yurakucho. The kanji 戌 is dog as in “Year of the Dog” not 犬 which means dog as in “man’s best friend”. At first glance it looked like 成 (to become) which made me think “huh?”. But after closer examination I realized it was a different kanji. Japanese must misread kanji all the time.

In the movie ALWAYS 三丁目の夕日 one of the characters reads a kanji incorrectly which causes a whole bunch of misunderstandings and over-exaggerated double takes.

This Muji store is huge. I thought the largest Muji store is in 吉祥寺. Looks like I’m wrong.
