They finally arrived today. 25 roadster emblems. These are the emblems that appear on the back of the new roadster. When I went to pick them up tonight my dealer gave me this special Japan Car of the Year keychain. I love Mazda.

UPDATE: I’m selling these Roadster Emblems to the enthusiasts at miata.net but if you would like one please send me a mail q.taro(at)mac.com. $25 including postage.

What are you going to do with 25 emblems? You must REALLY love Mazda.

Speaking of sticking things on cars, I don’t recall seeing a lot of bumper stickers in Japan. Is that true or is my memory just off. What would be a favorite Japanese bumper sticker? Maybe a Jesus fish on a pad of rice with nori.

I’m gonna sell them..

Jesus fish? Are you sure you don’t mean Darwin fish? Or are the Jesus fish the ones without the legs?

Robbie H., well, famous bumper stickers for Mazda Roadster are Road&Ster stickers, and stickers from meetings/events (e.g. OASIS), clubs (not neccessarily ROCJ though ;) and shops.

Roy, did you get the emblems so cheap it pays to sell them? That’s pretty cool given the fact that most (any) original Mazda parts are sooo expensive. Can you get the NB Roadster-plate (rear bumper, similar size of european MX-5-plate), too? :D
And by the way, your dealer seems to be really cool: anytime you go there, you receive a small gift - that’s customer care.

A google image search will show you what a Jesus fish looks like. The Darwin fish came after as a joke on the first. I found an interesting (sorta) article about the whole thing in a New York Times article.

Yes I did a search after you mentioned the Jesus fish and read about the history. Funny coincidence was right after you mentioned it I saw one here in Japan.
