New Mazda Demio

The new Mazda Demio, also known as Mazda 2 outside of Japan, will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. While I’m not really interested in sub-compact cars like March, Fit, Vitz etc. I do like this sportier europeanish design. It’s not as boxy as the previous Demio and has nice lines which remind me of Honda Civics. I think this version will appeal more to men who are generally embarrassed to be driving these otherwise uncool “housewife” cars.

Yes, that’s the new Mazda 2. It’s being introduced in Europe and Japan. I don’t think we’ll ever see this one in Canada or the US yet. Mind you, the new Mazda 3 is on my short list for a new car (I’m buying next month). I’ve driven over 30 cars in 1 year, all test drives, and let me tell you, the smallest cars often are the most fun to drive. (Albeit they are much more cruder than mid-sized vehicles).

Cheers,

Stoneman

This is cute, but not as cute as the sports car. Still, why the adjective “uncool” preceding housewives?!

“Uncool” refers to the car and not “housewives” but generally car driven by housewives are “uncool”
