I stayed up until 3am last night to watch the live web broadcast of the official unveiling from the Geneva Auto Show only to miss it because my damn browser wouldn’t refresh properly. When I got it working the show was over. Crap. Tonight, however, I downloaded the full version and took some screengrabs.

They had some Taiko Drummers creating a very Japanese mood while one guy wrote the words 人馬一体 (jinba-ittai) for the audience. Jinba-ittai means rider and horse as one which has been the philosophy of the roadster since the beginning. Then this guy, not sure who he was, gave a little speech and then the curtains were raised.

Check out that curved nose! Nice! Those fender flares don’t look as bad in red.

After that, the guy came back and said a few words and left. That was it. Not much fanfare. The video continued to show some footage from what looks like the California coastline.

Yep, I didn’t think much about it from the publicity pics but from the video it looks soo sweet. Probability of me running out and buying this car…90%

90%? Wow thats a quick turn around! The director of the video should be proud of himself. His video alone jacked up a consumers probability of purchasing a car by 60%!
