NC Gauge Twitch

One of the things I love most about the new roadster is the twitch the gauge needles make when you turn on the ignition. It’s like the car is coming alive! For a brief moment after the twitch all the various dash lights flash on. It’s very colorful and I love seeing it so much I thought I would share it with you. Click above to watch the avi movie. There’s a little bit of camera shake right at the twitching part so it may be hard to see. Notice that the oil pressure gauge is a real one too and not a fake one like in most cars. It’s really cooool. What a wonderful machine!

That’s nice!

Actually, if you had bought an Aston Martin DB9 (impossibly gorgeous, btw), you’d have the dials’ needles sweeping the clocks all the way, while having the digital display showing you the message “Power…Beauty…Soul”. Yes, it’s tacky enough to make you feel good you’re not filthy rich. :)

Yesterday was independance day holliday here in Portugal, and I finally went to see the NC in the metal. I think it’s very much like yours(http://p220.ezboard.com/fmiatamaniafrm2.showMessageRange?topicID=766.topic&start=61&stop=78). I like it. Don’t know if I’d buy it, but seeing it live kind of warmed me to it. They’ve promised us a test drive, I’ll let you know.

A definitive plus: driving position.

Filipe, interesting photos. Seems like the European package is slightly different from US and Japan. Is that the Touring model?

The driving position is great. Some people complain it’s too low for short people (like me) but I think it’s just fine.

“Power..Beauty..Soul” LOL!! Is that for real? I have to look it up.

“”Power..Beauty..Soul” LOL!! Is that for real?” Yep. Read it in an Evo magazine (www.evo.co.uk).

Don’t know which model was. Actually, everybody was much more interested in the drive to the show (I made some 300kms) than in the show itself :)
