If I buy something, I have to buy it when it’s first released. On that day. Because I’m cursed. If I ever buy something that’s been around for awhile sure enough only a few days later a newer, cooler, faster, sexier, better version of that thing is released and I kick myself thinking I should have waited just a little bit longer. This has happened to me sooo many times I’ve lost count. The most recent is with the Canon Wordtank G50. I just learned today that the Canon Wordtank G55 is coming out. Damn, it’s happened again. You can never be satisfied being a materialist. When will I learn?? Let’s hope this curse doesn’t spread to other areas like marriage!
When will I learn?

Hehe, sorry if I laugh but it always happens! Don’t worry, you are not alone, if this make you feel better ^_-
You’ve got that about marriage right. It’ll start right after the wedding ceremony. Just as your new bride is saying, “Roy, why don’t you listen to me when I talk!” you will look up into the smiling eyes of the most gorgeous bride’s maid ever to waft even in your wildest erotic dreams. In the brief moment of your eye contact you will know that she wants you more than she has ever wanted anything or anyone in her entire life. Her soul will wrap its warm arms around you and seek to pull your lips into a caress with her ripe lips bursting with desire. You will move one centimeter in her direction when, “Roy! I’m talking to you!”
You have just experienced the seven minute itch. Later that night you will experience a far worse seven-hour itch. In a geometrical increase of desire for others you will experience an equal and corresponding decrease of desire for “the old lady.”
So marry money. It’ll give you a reason to come back after you stray.
It even bothers me that there’s a newer version, and I’ve had my G50 since last autumn. I wonder if the G55 has been given a speed boost.
Hmm, there are always better things out there…
Now I get why there are early adopters…. I am in the field of high-tech development and hence I will never get the first release of anything. I will wait for at least a few revisions for more bugs to be fixed. We never get it perfect the first time.
As for Spud’s comment, I found it entertaining and not without truth. The itch will always be there. To me, it’s just a matter of what you want to do with it and think is more important. If you think you can’t truly be happy, even if the realization comes on the wedding day or the day after, just break it off. Regret may or may not follow so make sure you choose wisely.
It’s people like me who keep the economy in motion by spending money!! Someone should give me more money so I can help the economy even more.
Yeah, I guess if it was a big upgrade it would be the G60 right?
Update: Quinlan, Sorry I was deleting some spam comments and deleted yours by accident!!
