OK, so a few days ago I said I liked my small apartment (still do) You know, reduce the clutter, simple life, all that. Well, got me thinking a bit and I decided I’ll buy a mansion (condominium) sometime in the next year. YES, that’s right! With the interest rates so low, it’s just irresistable. Don’t know how I will be able to afford it but I’ll find a way. I believe you just got to be bold and state to the universe what you are going to do and things will work out. Call me naive, I don’t care, but wait and see! Check back here in a years time while I blog about my new pad in the sky. This one (see floor plan above) is the place I have my eye one ;) 252 square metres and costs 393,000,000yen YES! Check out that living room, it’s 45.3 tatami matts! That’s HUGE! Two spare rooms in case some hot supermodels want to move in with me :D
Back to reality, these are some places I found recently. Surprisely, all around the Shinagawa area.
City Tower Takanawa
World City Towers
Favorich Tower Shinagawa
Shinagawa Tower Face
City Tower Osaki

Haha, I am sure some hot models will be impressed.
I don’t live in Japan but I love to look at new condos in big cities and will even go to open houses when I visit. I saw this one on the web that’s quite nice. But I guess the location is not great. I wonder how much they are asking for. http://www.taki4.com/modelroom/index.html
That’s not a bad one either, although it’s in the North part of Tokyo. The area has gotten more developed but still doesn’t have a good image. I wonder if the condo resale value is any good. I’ve only been to this area a few times so might go check it out anyway.
Use a Japanese search engine and enter Tamachi (田町) or Shibaura (芝浦). That will give you some more options to choose from (but you might need some more patience).
J. Yeah, I’m not really interested in buying a mansion around Tamachi or Shibaura because I work around there (Unless its a really kick ass one) I’m looking more for something in Setagaya-ku because I prefer that area. Or around the harbor like in Shinagawa and maybe Odaiba. Alot of people like Azabu or Shirokanedai but those places just don’t do it for me. By the way, what did you mean by needing some more patience?
The apartments that they are building in those areas (Tamachi, Shibaura) need more time: they will only be ready in 2007. Whereas the ones you mention will be ready in 2005?
Oh I see, after reading your comment I noticed this morning from the train the construction of some of those condominiums. They seem fairly nice too. Now you got me interested!!
The layout looks impressive.
