<description>Yes, actually, they are doing quite a bit of redevelopment in the Noborito/Yuen area, and not just the old park. There's some big master plan, and they're tearing down old buildings and throwing up new ones left and right. Gotta get ready for 2010 and the influx of Doraemon-lovers! Your dream home awaits.

<description>Elizabeth, I'm quite familiar with the area and you're right there's not much around there. I was just thinking that houses would be cheaper and it would be ripe for redevelopment.

Slide, O-men..nice!

<description>I just returned to the States after living 10 minutes from Mukougaoka-yuen station for the past year. I'm happy to hear the park may rise from the ashes. I occasionally read in the local newspapers about various redevelopment plans but they were always really boring, nothing like Doraemon-land.

This would be a nice boost to the area, which seems to be declining since the park closed. In December 2004 Odakyu introduced limited express trains that skip that stop...

Are you serious about relocating to the Yuen area? Nothing against the area--the Ikuta Ryokuchi nearby is a great plus actually--but is there any other reason you would settle there, apart from the proximity of "Doraemon-land"?
