This morning, I was on the train car next to the women’s only train car. There were many beautiful women in that car and only salarymen in gray suits in the car I was in. I was looking into the women’s only train car with my mouth wide open and drooling all over myself (kidding). I noticed that in the women’s car there was an older man, about 50 or so standing amongst the women. His eyes were closed very tightly like he was trying to shut out his surroundings. A few other people noticed what I was looking at and we all wondered the same thing. Did this man know he was on the women’s only train? Did he care? Was he dared by his friends? Why didn’t any women say anything to him? I was almost going to take a photo until I realized that no one would believe that I was taking a photo of the man..So far, I have not gotten onto the women’s only car by accident yet but I’m sure it will happen one of these days.

Happened to me on the Toyoko Line. Who knew the that it was women only all weekdays? I thought it was only in the mornings just like how the Yokohama Subway is. I was tired and beat so I didn’t bother moving my ass. When I eventually found out though, I just closed my eyes went back to sleep. Lucky thing it wasn’t busy at all, and there were two other clueless men were in the car with me too.
Happened to me too on Tokyoko line. Dashed in last August. Got all the way from Motomachi to Kikuna before a guard came on and told me “Next carriage preeze.’ i was so embarrased and of course in that heat sweating like a taxi driver with no brakes or air-con. To cap it al I did it again on teh return journey; but a salary man tapped me on the back and said, “No.” Like your man no women said anything.
Well, it’s good to know that if I get onto the women’s car by accident I won’t be alone.
Roy, please take some photos. I didn’t get the chance to see the Summer fashions and I missed those beautifully coffiered damsels.
Take pictures? Do you want me to get arrested?
Roy, I didn’t know. What will the charge be?
I’m surprised after all the time you’ve been in Japan that you have to wonder why the women didn’t say anything. Most Japanese people, male or female, won’t say a word when someone breaks a rule (like smoking in a non-smoking area) but women are even less likely to speak up, particularly to men who are breaking rules. Confrontation on any level is difficult for them but confronting a stranger is even more difficult.
Orchid, don’t take what I said so seriously please. I’m was just being rhetorical.
