We do not speak/write/read Japanese. We are from Hawaii and are not used to, nor have we ever, driven under right-hand drive conditions. Can you give me any advice/suggestions for the drive. We plan to spend the night in Numazu, rent the car, drive to Shimoda. We had planned to avoid the Atami/Ito area completely. We thought of driving the Izu Skyline, did you drive it? We will spend the night in Shimoda, and drive back up the western coast, past Dogashima and Heda, to Shuzenji and back to Numazu. With all this odd weather the park services wasn't sure the trees would bloom for the festival. I has been snowing here for the last two days.
