Yeah, Hanami season is over. And this year it was a cold Hanami week with thunderstorms and snow too! It was snowing in Tokyo yesterday! Anyhow, here are a few Hanami pics this year. These ones (above) taken in my neighborhood.

This street is near the office, and a photo of my Hanami bento this year.
Hanami

nice pictures, makes me really want to be in Japan, but most stuff on yor site keeps mee jones’in for the land of the raising sun. so keep it up!
There had been questions about the Hanami season in D.C. this year. With all this odd weather the park services wasn’t sure the trees would bloom for the festival.
I has been snowing here for the last two days. I guess we got our week of Spring; now it’s time to return to Winter. ^^;
Really nice pictures. Is there a larger original for the picture of the street by your office? I think that’ll make an awesome wallpaper.
Nice, and if thats your local neighborhood then we are neighbors :-)
I had sent a trackback but seems like it didn’t make it.
Hanami season isn’t over just yet. :)

Nice photos! I wish I were in Japan right now!
Aloha,
We are planning to visit the Izu Peninsula in June. We do not speak/write/read Japanese. We are from Hawaii and are not used to, nor have we ever, driven under right-hand drive conditions.
Can you give me any advice/suggestions for the drive. We plan to spend the night in Numazu, rent the car, drive to Shimoda. We had planned to avoid the Atami/Ito area completely. We thought of driving the Izu Skyline, did you drive it? We will spend the night in Shimoda, and drive back up the western coast, past Dogashima and Heda, to Shuzenji and back to Numazu. Please give me any comments, direct to my email address would be great.
Thank you,
Cheryl
