Did you know that red is a lucky color for underwear in Japan? Apparently so as I learned today while shopping for underwear at the local Ito-Yokado. At the end of the year underwear is really cheap for some reason. My friend suggested I buy red explaining the reason and also that red underwear is popular with lots of oji-chan and oba-chan, especially this year of the monkey（病気がさる） Here’s a site that explains it.
