78.jpg

I cannot remember where I got this image from but I found it while deleting some files in my backup hard drive. I don’t know where they got the 78% from but I will say that a large majority of Japan blogs out there are perpetuating the “Weird Shit” image of Japan. Personally, I don’t think Japan has any more weird shit than any other country in the world. But maybe that’s just because I live here and have gotten used to it.

Great observation about all the blogs. At least you don’t for the low hanging fruit - well as a rule anyway!

I don’t know if this poster is from despair.com. My favorite (and I have a postcard of it in my cube)is; ” Mistakes: It could be that the purpose of your life may only serve as a warning to others”

I agree with you, Roy. Japan is not so wierd as may seems. For example there’s much more wierd and dull shit whe have here in Russia. :) So all that “strange” staff I found here on q-taro.com and on the other sites ’bout Japan, is not so wierd actually. It’s just realy fun and curious. So, ganbatte kudasai, Roy! Your blog is useful and always interesting!

I also agree that many bloggers view Japan as a land of perverts and wierd stuff. Personally, I think America has 1000 times more wierd, idiotic shit than Japan (Jerry Springer show?). Japan just has a different culture that can be seen as wierd by others. Maybe I hold this view because I’m a wierd kid.
