Timebomb

This afternoon, the light on my SO902i started to flash intermittently and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. It ain’t the bluetooth like on the overseas models cause this one doesn’t have bluetooth. And I haven’t received any new calls or mails. Is it the SONY timebomb counting down until the phone will fall apart? My keitai is soo beat up, don’t you think?

Nah..I really like this one. I will hold out until the 10 months is over and the next version comes out.

Usually it would probably mean that you have unread mail, or some audio messages you haven’t yet listened to. Otherwise you might want to RTFM. :)

Yeah, I figured it out. It was an unread mail but one of those R messages that Docomo sends which doesn’t end up in your inbox. You have to go thru the imode menu to see it. At least on this phone anyways.

Those R and F message types are a pain, not that I know why they exist for. Maybe something like SMS? I have the things disabled anyway.

How do you like this phone Roy? My currenty Sony pone is nearly 3 years old and I am considering the SO902i. I honor your gadget expertise and would like your opinion. Is the screen and keypad too small? How is the camera?

Richard, people have different preferences for phones. I like this one but I suggest that you go to the store and play with it yourself to decide whether it is right for you or not.

Thanks Roy. I have read all your other posts related to this phone. I guess I should have done that before I asked. Sorry. Anyway, I have played around with the mockups in the stores but have not been able to use a working model. I guess that is a good excuse to go to BicBic soon. I currently use an SO505i and it has been a good phone. Although I do not like Sony much, I think I may move to the SO902i. I agree with you that Sharp makes better camaras but I just do not like the recent styles.

jonas,

no, these functions vary from phone to phone.
