I’ve added the photos from the Samba festival and Koenji Awaodori. I went back to the Awaodori last night and got a nice spot in front of the main rotary. Even though I got there late, I could still get a front row seat because experience has taught where to wait to get a good viewing position at the last minute :D Also, it was definitely not as crowded on the second day. I would estimate that there were twice as many people there on Saturday as there were on Sunday. Saturday was just plain nuts. It’s nice to have a good SLR. Generally the quality of the photos are better this year, although more than a few are underexposed. I’ll tweak them in photoshop as soon as I have a chance. Please have a look.

Some observations of mine after checking out some of the pictures:
1.) Most people look better from the back than from the front.
2.) People aren’t very photogenic when they’re having a good time.
3.) Is it just me or do the people that are wearing more clothes look better than the ones wearing less?
Rick, I’m assuming your observations are for the Samba pictures and not the Awaodori ones. And yes, I would tend to agree with your comments.
