Saji, otherwise known as Seabuckthorn is a natural antioxidant supplement made from Hippophae Rhamnoides L berries from Mongol. The Great Khan (not the one from Star Trek) used it to conquer the world. I was buying lunch at a local health food supermarket today when a store clerk was giving out samples. She had an incredible knowledge of supplements and physiology that I was compelled to buy a bottle for 5,250yen. In case you don’t know, an antioxidant is a supplement that helps rid the body of free radicals. They’re like the garbage that gets left over from chemical reactions, the free radicals try to bond with other molecules thereby causing them to become unstable and damaged. Generally, fruits and vegetables give the body all the antioxidants they need but recently these types of supplements are becoming popular. Pine Bark Extract, Grape Seed Extract to name a few. I never heard of Seabuckthorn until today but from what I’m reading on the NET, it seems like the next miracle elixir! Taste like crap though.
