I got these Shure E3 Headphones way back and am more or less happy with them except for one thing. Those rubber earplug parts keep falling off dammit! These headphones were really expensive and they came with a bunch of rubber ear plugs of different sizes. I’ve already lost the ones that fit best and have been using all the other sizes. I was on my last set of plugs when today the one from the right side fell off in the crowded train and rolled too far for me to pick up. When the train stopped and everyone was getting off I saw my chance to recovered the renegade earplug. But then some woman kicked it out the door with her Ferragamo pump. Sh*t! It fell into that gap between the train and the platform.

That sucks… Filing in a complaint could hopefully get you a new set of the things.
You can buy like a dozen of them for like ¥1,000.
Ah…I’m too lazy to do either of these things…I’ll just stop listening to my podcasts for awhile……
I bought similar ones from Sony at Yodobashi. Three different sizes of earplugs… never had any problems, even while jogging. I advice you to slightly lift up the upper part of your ear (as if you’d use those small yellow ear protection plugs) when you put them on for it will fit more easily. The sound quality is pretty good, too!
Jan, the problem is not the fit inside my ear. Rather, after a while the gray rubber piece doesn’t stay on the white part and easily comes off when you have you headphones in your bag or pocket.
Hmm… didn’t know that. The rubber on my Sony plugs fits really tight, i.e. I’d have to pull them off. However, I don’t use them every day so they might as well show signs of wear sooner or later. Taking a closer look at the Shure’s, I realize their shape is slightly different from the Sony. Far more expensive, too!
