Name the actors in the Apple iPhone TV Commercial

Being a huge film buff, I really enjoyed the Apple iPhone TV Commercial which aired during the Academy Awards. Since I live in Japan and had to work when the Oscars were on, I had to watch the TV commercial afterwards from the Apple website. The commercial is a collage of about 30 famous actors answering the phone in classic to modern films. A simple and effective idea, appropriate for the Oscars. I can name all but one of the actors/actresses and most of the films, some were quite difficult. See if you can name all of them and the films they appear in. If you can name all the actors and the films AND the Japanese title of the film, you will have my utmost respect. Answers at the bottom..

Difficult! I could guess the last 10/15 ones. It’s great that they used Boogie Nights and The Big Lebowski. Both pretty underground/freak movies.

Isn’t the one you couldn’t name Will Farrell?

I thought it might be Will Ferrell too but I wasn’t sure. I don’t think I’ve seen that particular film otherwise I would know it.

Could it be Will Ferrell from the scene of “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”?

Yeah, I think Mike’s right. I’m pretty sure it’s from “Anchorman”.

I would say Kevin Costner, but don’t know from what movie…

The shot of Humphrey Bogart is probably from The Maltese Falcon.
And, I guess, Clark Gable is taken from Gone with the Wind, however I’m not quite sure of that.

You have never seen Anchorman? You are missing out

Ken, I live in Japan where many minor movies do not make it over here, even on DVD. But it’s on my list.

Yeah that’s true, it’s one of those movies that is funnier the second time you see it.

Wow! This list is great. I was wondering what movies are those because the commercial went by so fast! A little contribution: You can remove (?) of Sex and the City, no doubt she is in Carrie Bradshaw’s room.
