Tonight, I went to the construction site in front of Shinbashi station to get the low down on what was going on.

The construction workers were working late. The area is a lot bigger on the ground than from the train.

(1) Don’t have a clue what this is (2) Another one here.

(1) Lots of tiles piled up ready to be laid out. These were beige (2) And these ones gray. There were more tiles piled up all over the sidewalks around Shinbashi (3) The yellow ones are for visually impaired paths.

And the view from the other side of the hiroba.

Another panorama of Shinbashi station.
If you search “ekimae” in google, my blog now comes up 11th!! Let’s see if I can’t get that coveted number one rank on google.

now your site is the second hit of “ekimae” on google search….
You mean the first “ekimae” spot?
No idea what you guys are talking about.
How many photos make up the panorama? 4? How many pictures did you have to take to get the 4 (if correct) that fit the best?
I take a whole bunch of photos for redundancy and use as few as possible for the panorama. The fewer there are the fewer seams show up. I used 4 for this one.
It’s nice to see what’s going on up close. Here we also have such tiles for the visually impaired, altough they are white (doesn’t really matter, they can’t see what color it is anyway…)
I can clear up the “What’s the ekimae rank on google” questions. Google has different results on the different “local” sites (google.com differs from google.jp etc.) and the results can be manipulated by your own settings. Even if you search using the same settings, the results may vary on different computers (even if they share their internet connection).
Big, hmmm interesting..I guess it make sense that google ranking would be different in the results if you were including more language types.
Wow. Nice panorama.
